Postgraduate Bursaries
We would like to encourage as many postgraduate students as possible to attend these lectures and workshops. To that end we are offering up to 18 small grants, of up to £40 each, to defray the costs of travelling to other universities, which are open to postgraduates, studying for either a taught MA or a research degree, at each of the three White Rose universities.
There will be up to 6 grants for students from each of Leeds, Sheffield and York Universities. The condition of receiving one of these grants is, however, that the recipient must attend at least 3 of the 4 meetings not in their 'home' university. Please apply to the organiser at your respective university: Prof. Graham Loud at Leeds, Prof. Martial Staub at Sheffield, and Prof. Peter Biller at York, who will be happy to answer any queries you might have. Payment will be made at the conclusion of the series, and you will need to retain your tickets. (Payment will be organised from the conference account held at the University of Leeds, but the grant of bursaries will be at the discretion of the local organisers).
